ABOUT THE TOUR

Discover Kyrgyzstan’s Soul: From Nomadic Highlands to Alpine Shores

Embark on a four-day journey where wild landscapes, rich traditions, and authentic adventure await you.

Day 1: Bishkek – Burana Tower – Orto-Tokoy – Song-Kul Lake

Step back in time at the 11th-century Burana Tower, climb to the top for sweeping views, and explore ancient ruins and petroglyphs. After a scenic stop at Boom Gorge for tea and Kyrgyz puff cakes, we head through the dramatic Orto-Tokoy reservoir, home to Kyrgyzstan’s only desert-dwelling camels.

As the road ascends, watch the world transform into alpine pastures where yaks graze and edelweiss bloom. By evening, arrive at Song-Kul Lake, nestled at 3,200 meters. Settle into a cozy yurt, enjoy a hearty dinner, and stargaze by the lake — a perfect nomadic welcome.

Day 2: Song-Kul – Kochkor – Bokonbaevo

Start your morning with a peaceful horseback ride through the meadows or along the shores of Song-Kul. Cross the dramatic Terkey-Torpok Pass before stopping for lunch in a warm Kyrgyz village.

By afternoon, reach Bokonbaevo, where a real eagle hunting show awaits — a powerful display of ancient skill and trust. Try your hand at archery and dog hunting traditions, then relax in a lakeside yurt camp, surrounded by the calm of Issyk-Kul’s southern shore.

Day 3: Bokonbaevo – Fairy Tale Canyon – Barskoon – Jeti Oguz – Karakol

Awaken in a yurt and dive into a day of surreal beauty. Wander through the wind-carved Skazka Canyon, where rocks resemble castles and dragons. Hike to the cascading Barskoon Waterfalls, hidden deep in forested gorges. Then, explore the legendary red cliffs of Jeti-Oguz, shaped like seven bulls and a broken heart — rich in myth and drama.

In the evening, unwind in natural hot springs, followed by a flavorful dinner and a relaxing night in a 3-star hotel in Karakol.

Day 4: Karakol – Grigoriev & Semenov Gorges – Cholpon Ata – Bishkek

Begin the day with a cultural stroll through Karakol: visit the wooden Dungan Mosque, Russian Orthodox Church, and vibrant bazaar. Then, head into the postcard-perfect Grigoriev and Semenov Gorges, where red poppies, mountain streams, and spruce forests create a painter’s dream.

After a riverside lunch in a yurt and optional horseback ride, cruise the crystal waters of Issyk-Kul Lake, swim, and take in mountain views. Wrap up the day with a stop at Ruh Ordo Cultural Center and ancient petroglyphs before your comfortable return to Bishkek.
